Guess What Percentage Of American Children Are Living In Poverty. Seriously, Guess
Numbers like this make you wonder how much longer the United States is even going to count as a "developed country."

New Zealand's got nothing to be proud about on this either. 11% is a serious disgrace and it all began 30 years ago for a lot of these countries, including NZ, when we bought into "globalization", otherwise known as a way to scam everything upwards to TheParasitesThatBe.
In NZ we've also apparently got a fortune to spend on sponsoring "elite" sports and sports stadiums and other dumb shit like that while meanwhile we have 11% of children living below the poverty line.
And of course America, god-damn with that MASSIVE WAR MACHINE, while 23% of it's children live in poverty. Unreal.
Here's another list.
Can you believe it but the USA is second from the "top" for child poverty right behind Mexico? And the UK is not far behind them approaching 20% which means 1 in 5 children in the UK lives in poverty. Makes all those Jubilee celebrations seem a little weird don't it, celebrating those BORN into wealth and privilege, while 1 in 5 children in the same countries live in poverty. What a crazy world we live in.
Canada is hovering around 15%, Australia around 12%.....

This is why I laugh when I hear from individuals how America is "the greatest nation on the planet". In some respects we are, but great nations certainly don't let a large percentage of their populace live in poverty, among other things. Infant mortality also high here . . . how reptilian.
Iceland is top of the list ...Didn't Iceland just go through a crash not too long ago?
Intresting numbers.
We are almost as bad as Romania yet people drive around 5 food joints 2 blocks from their houses in their fancy ass cars and don't give 2 shits.
Looks like Iceland did the right thing, eh?
Maybe we all ought to tell the bankers to get bent.
There are many different definitions for poverty and child poverty. Without reading the study and reviewing the data we have no idea what this means. Living in Ecuador I see much worse poverty than I ever saw in the US.
I was close, I guessed 20%.
Well, it just shows what a good pro-life, pro-family Christian country we are, and all that bullshit we sell the tourists and put on Hallmark cards.

True, pacific_waters. I think these lists refer to the "developed world" countries.

Mmm... What 'respects' are they, Eric?
As an example, Limey, when the Indian ocean tsunami hit, we actually gave more money to the relief effort than any other nation, including many muslim nations(muslims were hard hit by the tsunami). Our technological innovation is also pretty well accepted globally---a lot of out of the box thinking in our country which you don't see in a lot of other nations. And we have freed some people who were either invaded or suffering under oppressive regimes---Kuwait and Panama come to mind. Also, we give a lot of benefits to the children/families of illegal immigrants as well as to many other immigrants as well.. You don't see that in the bulk of other nations.
